The First Meet

With a solid roadmap for the future and a shared vision to bring Mumbai back to the design map in India, FOF Mumbai was revived this day
Config Watch Party 2023
June 24, 2023Our very first event, and what a way to kick things off! The Config Watch Party became an instant hit and marked the revival of FOF Mumbai, setting the stage for a new chapter in the design history of Mumbai. The success of this event truly set the bar for future endeavors

August 24, 2023Realizing that organizing high-quality events was no small feat, Sooraj & Rishabh decided to bring in fresh talent. A team that could take our vision to the next level. After sifting through hundreds of applications, conducting countless interviews, we handpicked a group of the most passionate and skilled individuals. Intro to Variables Workshop
September 11, 2023Our very first virtual event, the Intro to Variables Workshop, saw over 200 designers joining from across the world to learn how to use variables in Figma. Hosted by Sooraj, the event included interactive games, virtual speed networking, and much more, making it an engaging and memorable experience for everyone involved
Design x Dev Meetup
October 28, 2023Our second in-person event and our first major collaboration with the developer community via GDG MAD. It was a groundbreaking moment for us as it marked our first foray into cross-community collaboration. The event hosted at Fractal, brought together designers and developers in a way that set the tone for future collaborative initiatives
Wireframed 2023
December 10, 2023Our flagship annual conference, Wireframed 1.0, was an absolute milestone for FOF Mumbai. The event featured an incredible lineup of thought leaders and industry experts, making it an unforgettable experience for 130+ attendees. The success of this conference demonstrated our ability to put on high-caliber events and made us immensely proud
Summer Design Meetup
March 17, 2024To kick off the new year, we hosted the Summer Design Meetup, featuring top-notch speakers who sparked thought-provoking discussions. This event, hosted at Pineapple Studios was primarily hosted for folks who had never attended our events before. It was a great way to reconnect with the design community after a busy year, set new goals, and share fresh ideas
GDSC Techfest 2024
April 21, 2024We were community partners for the very first GDSC Techfest which brought together all the Google Student Developer Clubs across Mumbai. Sooraj & Rishabh were invited as speakers for the event and gave a presentation on how to start with Figma and how they grew this community organically from the grounds up
Designwings Designathon
May 12, 2024We were community partners for the Designwings Designathon hosted by Punit Chawla. Rishabh & Sooraj both had the honor of judging the event, which showcased brilliant talent from across the design community. The event was a huge success and a fantastic learning experience for everyone involved
MeetJam #1 - Thane
May 18, 2024We introduced ‘MeetJam’ - a fresh new event series focussed on networking, fun and creativity. 20-25 people come together to engage in fun activities like wireframing challenges, curated networking and brainstorming sessions. The aim was to create a space for designers to connect and collaborate in a relaxed atmosphere. The first MeetJam happened at Starbucks, Thane - yes the very spot where FOF Mumbai was revived
1000+ WhatsApp Community Members
June 11, 2024Our WhatsApp community has been the heart of FOF Mumbai, where members share knowledge, have fun, and support each other. We were thrilled to celebrate reaching over 1,000 community members – a milestone that shows just how strong and connected our community has become

Config Watch Party 2024
June 29, 2024The second edition of Config Watch Party brought even more excitement. Hosted back at our favorite venue, Fractal, the event saw new additions such as interactive presentations, board games, polaroid photo booths, and more. It was an even bigger success than the first, with a growing number of designers and creatives from various industries coming together
Design Vichaar 2024
July 20 - 21, 2024One of our largest events to date, Design Vichaar 2024, was a massive collaboration with Frelo (formerly Creto) and Somaiya School of Design. Over two action-packed days, we hosted 250+ attendees with workshops on Day 1 and fireside chats and presentations on Day 2. The event brought together designers, innovators, and thought leaders to discuss the future of design in an engaging and hands-on manner
LottieFiles Certification Workshop
August 24, 2024In partnership with LottieFiles, we hosted a highly successful online workshop attended by over 200+ designers from across the world. The workshop was centered around creating motion designs using the new Figma-to-Lottie plugin, with participants also earning certification. It was an excellent opportunity for designers to learn cutting-edge skills while networking with like-minded professionals

Figma Workshop for ISTE KJSCE
September 13, 2024Conducting an in-person Figma workshop had always been on our radar since the beginning and that became a possibility with this collaboration with the awesome folks at ISTE KJSCE. Sooraj did a intro presentation on what UX Design is and how to get started with Figma with a hands-on workshop
Team 2.0
October 7, 2024As we continue to grow, some of our original team members moved on to new opportunities, but with change comes new energy. Team 2.0 was born and expanded to 10 folks – bringing fresh perspectives and new expertise to keep FOF Mumbai evolving and pushing boundaries
MeetJam #2 - Andheri
October 20, 2024Building on the success of the first one, MeetJam 2 happened at Doolally, Andheri and took our casual networking series to the next level. Once again, designers gathered to connect, collaborate, and enjoy activities that helped break down barriers. With an ever-growing community, it became an event designers look forward to as a creative outlet and a way to meet new faces in the industry
Wireframed 2024
December 7, 2024Surprise! Surprise! We did it again – and this time, we brought even more to the table. Wireframed 2.0 was a bigger, bolder version of our flagship conference. With an even more stellar lineup, interactive sessions, and bigger ideas, this event cemented our place as one of the premier design communities in Mumbai and beyond
Farewell, Rishabh...
31 December, 2024Rishabh Singh, one of our founding members and Community Lead since January 2022, officially stepped down from his role on December 31, 2024. From helping us host our very first event to shaping FOF Mumbai into one of the most recognized design communities in India, Rishabh’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. His dedication and passion for building this community have left an indelible mark on all of us.

Since joining us in August 2023 as our Social Media Manager, Kunal has gone above and beyond to contribute to our community’s growth.
